The Lincoln Inn hosts Celtic Music every Wednesday night, open sessions alternating Wednesdays.

Thursday, March 13th

Lecture: Ian Paisley, an Ulster Nationalist? The Good Friday Agreement Ten Years On  12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Join Fr. McLaughlin, a professor in the Religious Studies Department at St. Michael's College, who also teaches Irish history in the History Department, for a presentation on the role of Ian Paisley and an examination of the Good Friday Agreement.

A Concert for St. Patrick at St. Michael's College  7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Featuring SMC's own Celtic Knights stepdancers. The Highland Weavers and a variety of musical and other artistic talent. This event is a fundraiser for the Parent-to-Parent organization.

Saturday, March 15th

Children's Stories and Crafts  10:00 a.m. - Noon
Share the Celtic heritage with a new generation. This event features stories and images of the Irish and Irish-Americans. Hear classic Irish tales, learn a few words in the Irish language, weave a Bridget's cross, write your name in Celtic calligraphy and more All ages are welcome.

Pennywhistle Workshops  1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Whether you’re an aspiring beginner or a skilled pennywhistler, this annual Whistle Workshop is the place to be! Cindy Hill of O’hAnleigh gets new pennywhistlers started with hands-on lessons that will have you playing tunes in no time. This year’s workshop includes wind instrument instructor and recording artist Bob Quadra on the Celtic Low Whistle for beginning to intermediate players. Come learn Low Whistle techniques and the features that make this instrument so expressive. A limited number of whistles will be available for use by students, or feel free to bring your own.

Sarah Blair - Vermont's Renowned Irish Fiddler 
Irish Fiddle Workshop: 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Irish Fiddle Concert: 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Vermont musician Sarah Blair is skilled in Irish traditional tunes will conduct an Irish Fiddle Workshop Saturday afternoon. Followed by a solo concert co-presented with the Events for Tom series.

Sunday, March 16th

Festival Ceili  1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Ceili is the Irish word for a music, dancing, handclapping good time! The Annual Festival Ceili is fun for the whole family with Irish stepdancing and some of Vermont’s finest Celtic musicians. Hear fiddles and flutes, Irish pipes and pennywhistles, and the bodhran, a traditional Irish frame drum. Area musicians are welcome to bring their instruments and join in for a lively seisun.
Presented in association with Burlington City Arts.

The Second Annual Burlington Irish Music Showcase  6:00 p.m.
The Burlington Irish Heritage Festival proudly presents our second annual Showcase of outstanding Vermont musicians performing Celtic music from Traditional dance tunes to rousing Irish-American pub favorites and award-winning original compositions. Our emcee, Irishman John Murray of Burlington, will move us through this lively evening in style, and help support the Sustic Fund which assists area families facing childhood leukemia.

St. Patrick's Day Concert: Leahy  7:30 p.m.
Once again the partnership of the
UVM Lane Series, the Flynn Theatre and the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival present an evening of first-rate Irish talent. Leahy is the Canadian powerhouse of eight musical brothers and sisters who’ve enthralled audiences worldwide with their spirited mix of traditional Celtic music, Irish-flavored pop and folk-rock, and lively step-dancing.
