This web site is owned and operated by the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival. Our intention is to provide an informative tool for those interested in our festival and Irish-American arts and culture in and around the state of Vermont. We recognize that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us and how we treat that information. The Burlington Irish Heritage Festival recognizes that providing us with personal information is an act of trust. Therefore, we have created a privacy policy to protect your personal information.
Personal Information Collected
In general, when you visit our Web site and access information you remain anonymous. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to us to view our site.
There are occasions when we may ask for additional information. We do this to better understand and respond to your needs, and provide you with services that may be valuable to you. For example, your name and address will be collected in order to answer a request for a brochure.
Use of Information
Personally identifiable information is primarily used to communicate with individuals who have expressed an interest in our festival and Irish-American arts and culture in and around the state of Vermont. The Burlington Irish Heritage festival will never sell your information. Occasionally, we are asked to share our mailing list with other organizations presenting artistic or cultural events which you may find of interest. Technical Reporting
The servers which host our site collect and aggregate user information site-wide, including anonymous site statistics, such as the number of views of each page. We log domain names and/or IP addresses of visitors, which permits us to learn how our visitors access the Internet and how visitors are using the site, without knowing individual users' identities. Tracking in this manner is our primary way of measuring site traffic patterns and the site's success. None of this data are attributable to individual users.
